According to the City of Commerce City, the day begins with a ceremony at 8:45 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial. The 1.5-mile parade steps off at 9:30 a.m.

The route starts at E. 64th Avenue and Newport Street, heads west on E. 64th to Holly Street, turns south to E. 62nd Avenue, then continues west on Parkway Drive before wrapping up near the Eagle Pointe Recreation Center. The city estimates the parade, plus the celebration and concert that follow, will finish at around 11:30 a.m.
