According to public filings, Mi Tradición Bakery is preparing to open a new location at 5403 Cameron Rd. Suite 100, while also relocating its longtime Research Boulevard operation into a newly constructed building at 8828 Research Blvd. The bakery specializes in traditional Mexican baked goods, including pan dulce, cakes, pastries, and breads inspired by recipes from Puebla, Mexico.
Owner Jesus “Chuy” Guevara told WhatNow Austin that the Cameron Road store is targeting a late June opening, while the new Research Boulevard facility is expected to begin operating during the second week of July, pending final city approvals.
The expansion marks a significant step for the family-owned bakery, which has built a following in Austin through its traditional Mexican baked goods, including pan dulce, cakes, pastries, and breads inspired by recipes from Puebla, Mexico.
