A man accused of killing his cousin in Taylor in May told another person that he attacked the victim with a hammer during a fight, according to an an arrest affidavit.
Devin Olguin, 30, was charged with murder in the death of Alfred Olguin Flores Jr., 48, on June 2. Olguin is homeless, according to the affidavit.
No further arrests are pending, Taylor police Cmdr. Joseph Branson said on Monday. Branson said police “didn’t want to speculate” about what caused the fight.
The investigation began when Taylor police received a call on May 3 about a “cardiac event” in the 1000 block of Price Street and found Flores’ body underneath a tent beside a house, the affidavit says.
