Man gets 10 years for evidence tampering in 2022 murder

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A man was sentenced in December 2024 in connection with a 2022 homicide investigation.

According to Travis County court documents, 55-year-old Peter Perius pleaded guilty to tampering with or fabricating physical evidence with the intent to impair a human corpse, which is a second-degree felony.

Perius was sentenced to serve 10 years in state prison. As of Jan. 24, 2025, Perius was no longer booked in the Travis County Jail.
