AUSTIN (KXAN) — Police in Elgin arrested a Buda man following an investigation into the suspicious death of a woman on June 30.
Accoridng to the Elgin Police Department, 33-year-old Christopher Vargas was charged with first-degree murder.
The charge was related to the death of 55-year-old Sonya Martinez Guerra, who was found dead with “obvious trauma to her body” during a welfare check on Anderson Drive in Elgin.
As of Sunday, Vargas remained booked in the Hays County Jail, with no bond listed…
