According to KXAN, Silicon Valley artificial intelligence company Anthropic PBC is discussing a massive data center project in Bastrop County, east of Austin, although no deal has been completed.

Anthropic has been pursuing the effort with Washington, D.C.-based BlackChamber Partners LLC and Dallas-based Pacifico Energy LLC. In the Cedar Creek area, the proposal includes a 2,842-acre gas-powered generation site connected to the data center development…
