San Marcos officials accuse Hays County Judge Ruben Becerra of using a “disingenuous gambit” to try to prevent the city from forcing him to remove a building that sits partially on city-owned land.
The city also says Becerra has violated the terms of his lease on the city-owned property, and asks a judge to force him to vacate the property.
The accusations, made in a court filing responding to a lawsuit Becerra filed last week against the city, are the latest jabs thrown in a long-running fight between the county’s top elected official and the county’s largest city…
