AUSTIN (KXAN) – Crews responded Wednesday to a hazardous materials incident involving an 18‑wheeler along U.S. 290 near FM 973, prompting lane closures and traffic delays in the area, officials said.
Travis County Emergency Services District 12 said the truck was transporting electrical transformers when fluid began leaking onto the roadway at the westbound 290 intersection. Emergency crews secured the area and are working to contain and clean up the spill.
