BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Two people were arrested, with one for evading and allegedly assaulting an officer, and over 100 citations were made during a joint operation in southwest Bakersfield Thursday morning.
The Bakersfield Police Department said on Thursday, June 4th, 2026, between 8 a.m. and noon, officers conducted a traffic enforcement operation in collaboration with the California Highway Patrol, focusing on southwest Bakersfield and the Harris Road and Panama Lane corridor.
Police said that in total, 105 traffic stops were made with:
- 102 citations
- three vehicles impounded for license violations
- one misdemeanor warrant arrest
- one person was arrested for evading and assault on a police officer.
