Bakersfield Parks and Rec offers ways to cool off as Kern County heat hits triple digits

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) Triple-digit temperatures are arriving across Kern County, and Bakersfield Parks and Recreation is opening city pools and programs to help residents cool off.

“Today is going to be the hottest day of the week so that’s putting into perspective when you look at Ridgecrest yesterday, 105,” weathercaster Aaron Perlman said during a morning broadcast.
