BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — In sentencing Victor Nunez — young, charismatic, respectful in court — Judge David Zulfa said “it gives me pause” as to how Nunez ended up traveling the road he’s on.
That road includes a 2019 murder conviction for which he’s serving 50 years to life in prison.
As of Tuesday morning, it also includes a sentence imposed by Zulfa of 36 years to life plus 16 years for assaults Nunez committed while in custody — one that left an inmate blind in one eye…
