Final defendant sentenced in case involving baby buried in Bakersfield yard

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Nearly eight years after a Bakersfield teen’s newborn was drowned and buried in her family’s backyard, the final person connected to the incident was sentenced Wednesday.

Bakhshinderpal Singh Mann, 31, received six years’ time served after pleading no contest last year to having sex with and impregnating the girl, possessing sexually explicit photos of her and an accessory charge.

He received six years for the sex offenses, defense attorney Elliott B. Magnus said after the sentencing hearing, and an additional year to be served concurrently for the accessory charge…
