What was billed as a fun summer vacation to the Colorado River has turned into a nightmare for the Wittine family. Nikkie Watine sustained major injuries to her legs after being hit by a boat in a hit-and-run accident, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
“My wife kind of got stuck on the inner tube. She was trying to jump off of it, um, and her feet planted in the air underneath the boat and got sucked in by the propeller, and the propeller grabbed her legs up pretty good,” said Ronald Wittine, Nikkie’s Wife.
