BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A Kern Valley State Prison inmate whose shoeprints were found on the face and neck of his dead cellmate was found guilty last week of second-degree murder, prosecutors said.
Robert Ambrott Hernandez, 30, was serving time for an attempted murder in Los Angeles County when his cellmate, Jose Aviles, 26, was found dead the morning of Sept. 9, 2021, his body hidden under a sheet and a towel covering his head.
