2 critically endangered birds photobomb wildfire camera

Thanks to a network of more than 1,000 high-definition cameras monitored with the help of AI, agencies across California can spot wildfires faster than ever.

And those cameras have other benefits, too.

On Monday, managers at ALERTCalifornia noticed two critically endangered California condors perched on their equipment atop a mountain southeast of Bakersfield, in the Bear Valley Springs area.
