BPD seeks driver of Dodge Charger after motorized mini-bike rider struck on Planz Road

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Bakersfield police are looking for the driver of a Dodge Charger, who is accused of hitting a juvenile riding a motorized mini-bike on Planz Road on April 15.

The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the community’s help in finding the suspect vehicle involved in a crash on Wednesday, April 15th, 2026, at around 10:05 p.m. near the 600 block of Planz Road, just east of South Chester Avenue.

The suspect vehicle was traveling westbound on Planz Road when it rear-ended a juvenile victim who was riding a motorized mini-bike westbound on Planz Road.

Police said the suspect vehicle appears to be a Dodge Charger, light gray in color with chrome rims. The suspect vehicle was initially traveling southbound on Union Avenue before making a westbound turn onto Planz Road. The suspect driver drove away from the scene westbound on Planz Road and northbound on South Chester Avenue…
