BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — A 30-year-old Bakersfield man, Angel Anthony Estrella, was killed in a crash with a semi-truck on northbound Highway 99 in south Bakersfield on Sunday, said the Kern County coroner.
CHP officers were called at about 1:58 a.m. on Sunday, May 10, 2026, on northbound Highway 99 at Hosking Avenue for a report of a crash involving two vehicles.
CHP said Estrella was driving a 2015 black Honda Civic northbound in the No. 3 lane at a high rate of speed. A 34-year-old man from Delano was driving a 2019 Peterbilt semi-truck directly in front of the Honda in the same lane at about 55 mph, according to CHP…
