BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — A 54-year-old man from Los Angeles accidentally died from hyperthermia after being found dead in his vehicle in early April at the Boron Rest area on Highway 58, according to the Kern County coroner.
Jerry Graves Jr. was found at around 4:47 p.m. on April 5, 2026, at the Boron rest area along westbound Highway 58 (exit 194) in Boron. It’s unknown what time or date he died, said authorities.
