MIDDLE RIVER, Md. — A community meeting will be held in mid-October to begin the process of securing public input about the former C.P. Crane property in Middle River, now protected from development and preserved for a park.
The Baltimore County Department of Recreation and Parks will hold the meeting on Thursday, October 15 at 6:30 p.m. at Eastern Regional Park (11723 Eastern Avenue).
“I would like to thank Director Bryan Sheppard and the Department for holding this initial meeting, and all of our local and state partners for their support in acquiring the 85-acre site,” said Councilman David Marks. “This was a truly bipartisan project that occurred because of support from then-County Executive Olszewski, Senator Jennings, Delegates Nawrocki and Szeliga, our federal partners, and community leaders in Bowleys Quarters and Seneca Park. Residents created a video that described the beauty of this peninsula, and they testified at meetings about the need to protect it from development.”…
