BALTIMORE, Md. — A powerful coastal low pressure system rapidly intensifying off the Mid-Atlantic is set to bring widespread flooding, heavy rain, and damaging winds to the East Coast through the weekend, meteorologists warned Thursday.
The non-tropical storm is expected to strengthen as it tracks northward toward southern New England, according to alerts from the National Weather Service Weather Prediction Center.
