Man Who Held Ex-GF, Family Captive In Vehicle For Weeks Gets Prison Time In Anne Arundel

Juan Michael Pack, 40, has been sentenced to 25 years in prison without the possibility of parole, State’s Attorney Anne Colt Leitess announced. The sentence was sought due to Pack’s status as a repeat felon offender.

The charges stem from an incident on March 2, 2023 in which Anne Arundel County police were alerted by a principal and guidance counselor at an area school that the mother of a disabled 10-year-old boy appeared “extremely distraught” when picking him up from class.

Investigators said the mother reported being held captive by her ex-boyfriend, who was later identified as Pack, and having to leave school with the boy to avoid making Pack suspicious.

The counselor walked the woman and her son to her car and noted that the boy was dehydrated.

Police proceeded to issue a lookout for Pack’s Dodge Charger and found him, as well as the victim and their children, at an apartment in Glen Burnie, where Pack was arrested.

The victim told police that Pack forced her and their children, ages 10 and 7, to live with him in his vehicle for two weeks, during which he strangled her and threatened her.
