Police investigate threats at two Baltimore-area schools Thursday

Police in Baltimore City and Baltimore County investigated potential threats at two separate schools Thursday morning.

A spokesperson with Baltimore City Police confirmed that a bomb threat was reported at Poly/Western High Schools. The threat was deemed unfounded, according to the spokesperson.

“Out of an abundance of caution, both campuses entered into lockdown in response to a report of a threat against a school with a similar name in Baltimore County,” said principals Mark T. Sawyer and Brittany Horne in a joint letter Thursday. “At no point were students or staff at our campuses in danger. We followed all safety protocols and returned to regular school activities once School Police indicated that it was safe to do.”…
