Pre-Dawn Shooting Turns Northwest Baltimore Block Into Crime Scene

A 37-year-old man was shot and later died after an early Thursday morning burst of gunfire in northwest Baltimore, according to city police. Patrol officers were called around 3:16 a.m. for reports of shots fired and found the wounded man in the 4400 block of Norfolk Avenue, where they quickly established a crime scene and called in homicide detectives.

Investigators believe the victim was actually shot in the 4400 block of Fairview Avenue before being located on Norfolk, authorities said.
