Dulceology Bakery Closing Federal Hill Shop After Six Years

Dulceology Bakery, the sister-run sweets shop known for its alfajores and ever-changing cronut lineup in Federal Hill, is wrapping up its brick-and-mortar run after six years. The owners say the storefront’s final day will be next Sunday, as co-owner Nicole Leiva heads to Southern California to start a new pastry job.

Owners Cite New Opportunities

According to The Baltimore Banner, the Leiva sisters broke the news in an Instagram post, thanking Baltimore for six years of support. The Banner reports that Nicole is moving west to work as a pastry chef at Yaamava’ Resort & Casino in Southern California, and that trying to lead the business from a distance made it tough to keep the shop going. The sisters also told fans that Dulceology will continue shipping alfajores nationwide, even after the Federal Hill doors close.
