May 24 Sunday Morning Report
Yesterday maxed out at 55℉ making it the COLDEST May 23 afternoon on record in Baltimore. Quite the contrast to the record HOTTEST May 20 when we hit 96℉. The 0.42” at BWI brought the Baltimore monthly total close to ‘average’, but still down -5.01” for the year. The drought is not over!
For the record, heavy rain totals over the last 3 days has continued to be skewed more west, less east:
Rainfall Last 72 Hours
In this report we compare the live radar and simulations through the weekend. Rain today is still a morning focus, with the afternoon breaking out dry hours and spotty showers.
Memorial Day Monday will get us back to the 70s, but unfortunately there will be more rain along with thunderstorms more likely west in the mountains and across Central Virginia to Southern Maryland…
