BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — The community of Brookstown recently hosted a community walk-in in response to a shooting in the area. The Office of Violence Prevention organized the event to support residents and address the impact of violence.
The walk-in provided a visible show of community support and presence following the recent act of violence. Such events aim to reassure residents and acknowledge the challenges faced by the neighborhood.
