IDAHO FALLS, ID — Emergency crews continued searching Sunday for John Green, 54, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, who fell into the Snake River in Idaho Falls on Thursday afternoon.
Authorities said Green slipped from the bank near the Broadway Bridge while standing with a co-worker after attending a business seminar. The co-worker was not injured, and Green has not been found.
Body found downstream during separate response
While searchers were working the river, a passerby found the body of a 70-year-old Bingham County man on the west bank south of Idaho Falls on Saturday evening.
Bonneville County Coroner Shante Sanchez later identified him as Daniel Fuentes of Firth. Authorities said he apparently fell down a rocky embankment along the river and died from his injuries before being discovered.
