The East Baton Rouge Landfill has been under investigation for the past two weeks as law enforcement has geared up to find the body of a missing teen they believe ended up there.
The search for 15-year-old Ja’Derrius Minnieweather’s body started in the early hours of Monday with search teams donning protective hazmat suits. Unknown amounts of glass, used needles, and hazardous gases live in the landfill.
Minnieweather has been missing since June 5 and is presumed dead. Police have confirmed that they believe his body was dumped in a garbage bin, picked up by a garbage truck and dumped somewhere in the landfill…
