Chicken shawarma pizza from Roman’s Cafe
Biting into the pizza at Roman’s is like biting into a soft cloud. With a red sauce base, the pizza dough is just like the restaurant’s pita bread, which provides a nice switch-up to the “normal” pizzas I’m used to consuming.
Pile on chicken shawarma, red onions and spices, and this dish is something I could see myself going back to as a comfort meal. It’s flavorful without being overbearing and big enough to have leftovers. Maybe next time I’ll get a side of hummus or tzatziki for dipping. Would that be sacrilegious?
