BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A Gonzales man died after a single-vehicle crash in Ascension Parish on Friday night, according to the Louisiana State Police.
Troopers said the crash happened shortly after 9:25 p.m. on July 17 on LA 42 near Galvez Baptist Church Road in Prairieville.
The preliminary investigation found that Ryan Mendoza, 44, was driving a 2004 Dodge Ram SRT-10 east on LA 42 when, for reasons still under investigation, he failed to negotiate a right-hand curve. State police said the truck traveled off the road, entered a ditch and struck an embankment…
