BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A juvenile was arrested after a series of vehicle burglaries reported in Prairieville.
Ascension Parish Sheriff Bobby Webre said deputies received reports of vehicles being broken into between the early morning hours of July 31 and Aug. 2 in neighborhoods along Louisiana Highway 42. Investigators said several firearms were also stolen during the burglaries.
Following an investigation, detectives identified and arrested one juvenile. The suspect was booked into a juvenile detention facility on Thursday. They face multiple charges, including:
- Simple burglary of a vehicle.
- Theft of a firearm.
- Theft.
- Criminal trespass.
- Attempted simple burglary of a vehicle.
