BATON ROUGE – Old furniture, tires, and trash litter a front yard along Ponderosa Drive in Baton Rouge. A resident reached out to 2 On Your Side, concerned about how long it’s been sitting there and what it might mean for the neighborhood.
John Kovalcik first noticed it on July 22 while taking his morning walk. Kovalcik waited a couple of weeks before he reported it to the city to see if the property owner would clean it up first. When nothing happened to the trash, he reached out to his councilman and the mayor’s office.
