Judge orders additional competency evaluation after courtroom outburst in Baton Rouge police sergeant murder case

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – The man accused of killing Baton Rouge Police Sergeant Caleb Eisworth erupted in court, yelling about justice, freedom and calling himself God. It was a full courtroom when Gad Black said he wanted to represent himself in a first-degree murder case.

“I don’t want to testify; I want to confess. I’m coming to bring my side to the light. Why I’m so angry as a Black man – but I’m Black Jesus,” Black said in court.
