BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – The BREC Commission has selected Brooks Williams as the organization’s next superintendent following a national search process.
Williams currently serves as city manager and chief executive officer for the City of Ferris, Texas, where he has led efforts focused on increasing efficiencies, strengthening organizational performance, improving service delivery, and maintaining fiscal stewardship.
“Williams brings a strong operational mindset and a proven track record of improving organizational effectiveness,” said Mike Polito, chair of the BREC Commission. “We were extremely impressed by the quality and experience of all the finalists throughout this process. We believe Williams is exceptionally well-positioned to lead BREC forward and continue building a strong future for our organization and the community.”
The search process attracted a pool of candidates from across the country. Commissioners thanked all finalists for their professionalism and participation throughout the process.
