Baton Rouge 23-year-old sentenced to 30 years for shooting man found under carport

A 23-year-old Baton Rouge resident has been sentenced to spend 30 years in state prison after he was convicted of manslaughter for fatally shooting a man during an altercation.

Last December, Rashawn Alexander was found guilty of manslaughter, illegal use of weapons and possession of an illegal firearm by a felon.
