SEATTLE — Ben & Jerry’s is planning a permanent presence along Seattle’s waterfront after signing a lease for a new scoop shop at Pier 54.
The ice cream company leased space at 1001 Alaskan Way #105. The upcoming full-service location will be operated by franchise owners who also run Ben & Jerry’s stores in Green Lake and Gig Harbor. Another Seattle location is planned for Thornton Place at Northgate.
The deal comes after the company operated a seasonal pop-up at Pier 54 last summer. Company representatives said the strong response, combined with ongoing redevelopment efforts along the waterfront, helped solidify the decision to open a permanent store at the site…
