KENT, Wash. — Curt Nuccitelli is used to juggling rising costs, tight margins and tough competition. Now he worries Washington’s new millionaires tax could make it even harder to run his business — and eventually push prices higher for customers.
Nuccitelli owns Spirit Transport Systems, a 14-employee trucking company in the Kent Valley that moves goods through the ports of Seattle and Tacoma. In an industry where competition is tight, raising prices isn’t always an option.
