Man on Fire Rescued from Burning Republic Home, Flown to Seattle Hospital With Severe Burns

REPUBLIC — A late-night house fire in the City of Republic left a homeowner with severe burn injuries after first responders rushed into action to pull the individual from a burning structure.

According to authorities, the fire was reported at approximately 11:00 p.m. on April 13 along Lower Jefferson Avenue. Deputies with the Ferry County Sheriff’s Office, along with crews from Ferry County EMS District #1 and Ferry/Okanogan Fire Protection District 13, responded to the scene.

When first responders arrived, the singlie-wide mobile home residence was already partially engulfed in flames. Officials said the homeowner was still inside the structure and had become trapped on the porch as the fire intensified…
