A late-night fire had Seattle firefighters working overtime on the 4400 block of Letitia Ave S in Columbia City, where crews moved in on a burning two-story house after flames were spotted on the second floor.
According to an update from the Seattle Fire Department, “crews are putting water on the fire and searching the building.” The post went out on April 24 while units were still on scene. As of that update, officials had not released information about any injuries or what might have sparked the blaze.
Where the call came in
The fire broke out in the 4400 block of Letitia Ave S, in the Columbia City area of southeast Seattle. It is a mostly residential stretch with a mix of older single-family homes and newer infill construction, according to City of Seattle planning records. That kind of close-knit housing often prompts a larger multi-unit response when a single structure is reported burning.
