SEATTLE — A car break-in in Seattle’s University District has sparked a search for deeply personal items, including the ashes of a beloved dog.
Brandon Dunn said his wife, Holly, had packed her car Wednesday night as she prepared to move back to North Carolina after a job opportunity in Seattle fell through. Sometime overnight, while Holly walked back to her apartment, someone smashed her car’s window and took items within reach from the passenger side.
Among what was stolen was a tote containing the ashes of the couple’s Chihuahua, Tia, along with a plaster cast of her paw prints, a custom stuffed animal made in her likeness, photos, paintings and a blanket with her image…
