Mountlake Terrace police and Snohomish County sheriffs arrested a man and a woman Wednesday, May 6, in Shoreline for suspicion of controlled substance homicide after three people in Mountlake Terrace overdosed from a mixture of cocaine and fentanyl. One man died from the overdose while the other two were resuscitated.
Bail was set at $200,000 each. The suspects were released on May 8 because county prosecutors “did not file charges by the in-custody filing deadline,” a Snohomish County Prosecutor’s Office spokesperson said.
According to county court documents, Mountlake Terrace officers were dispatched to a home on 57th Avenue West around 11:10 p.m. on Friday, May 1.
