2 facing charges after online messages allegedly involve plans for school shooting

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – A Shelby County woman is one of two people facing charges after federal law enforcement say she admitted to exchanging online messages involving plans to commit a violent attack at a school.

According to an affidavit, one suspect is from Wilsonville, Alabama and the other is from Glen, Mississippi. Both face charges of transmitting threatening communications in interstate commerce with the affidavit filed in the U.S. District Court of Mississippi.

The suspect will be identified only by their initials as WBRC cannot confirm their ages at the time of publication. The Shelby County suspect will be identified as “KJ” and the Mississippi suspect as “EB.”…
