BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBMA) — Getting around downtown Birmingham on Saturdays is about to get easier, with MAX Transit bringing back weekend service for its Downtown MAX On-Demand zone.
MAX Transit announced May 26, 2026, that Saturday service for the Downtown MAX On-Demand zone will return beginning Saturday, June 6, 2026. The Downtown zone will operate Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., expanding weekend mobility options for riders traveling throughout downtown Birmingham.
