TRUSSVILLE, Ala. (TRIBUNE) — In a post to social media on Monday, June 1, Trussville Mayor Ben Short warned the public that repeated violations of the rules of Trussville’s Entertainment District could lead to stronger enforcement, including possible bans for repeat offenders.
Short described the district as an important come-together point in downtown Trussville for residents but said the city has seen a rise in violations including: smoking in prohibited areas, bringing outside coolers, cups, or beverages, climbing or jumping on furniture, disrespectful conduct towards staff, and engaging in activities that cause safety concerns.
“This isn’t about taking the fun out of downtown,” he said, “it’s about protecting the experience for everyone,” Short said. “Follow the posted rules, respect staff, and let’s keep the Entertainment District a place people want to come back to.”…
