BESSEMER, Ala. (WIAT) — The Bessemer Police Department released additional information about a burglary at PAC Insurance Agency reported June 3.
An employee arriving for work discovered the business had been entered and ransacked, police said. A preliminary investigation found the suspect entered through a wall at the rear of the building. Detectives also learned a similar commercial burglary occurred in nearby Fairfield during the same early morning hours.

Police said the incident appears to be part of a broader pattern of commercial burglaries in Jefferson County. Investigators found no evidence the burglary was politically motivated and believe the apparent motive was the theft of cash.
Police have identified a suspect, who has since been arrested on unrelated charges. The suspect’s name has not been released because of the ongoing investigation and related cases involving multiple jurisdictions…
