While Homewood restaurant Johnny’s is well known for its award-winning food, Chef Timothy Hontzas also recently proved to be handy in life or death situations.
Chris Hastings, James Beard award winner and co-owner of Birmingham’s Hot and Hot Fish Club, said on the Word of Mouth Podcast this week that he was eating at Johnny’s, his favorite meat-and-three spot, when a piece of chicken got stuck in his throat.
