Alabama man sentenced to 25 years in prison for drug store burglary

KENNETT, Mo. (KFVS) – The Dunklin County Prosecuting Attorney says an Alabama man was sentenced to 25 years in prison for his role in a pharmacy robbery in Kennett in 2025.

Dunklin County Prosecuting Attorney Nicholas Jain says David Evans, 31, of Birmingham, Alabama, was sentenced to 25 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections for his role in the robbery.

Prosecutors say Evans already faces 78 months in Federal Prison for his role in the burglary.

Jain reports that Evans pleaded guilty to second-degree burglary, delivery of a controlled substance, stealing a controlled substance, and aggravated fleeing. The sentences were imposed consecutively, resulting in a total of 25 years to be served…
