BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – The Alabama Department of Examiners of Public Accounts confirmed Monday they are in the middle of auditing the Jefferson County probate judge’s office.
“I can confirm that we are conducting an audit of the Jefferson County Probate Court, both the Birmingham and Bessemer Division, said Rachel Riddle, the department’s Chief Examiner. ”This was a scheduled routine audit that began in March of 2026. At this time, that is all the information that I am at liberty to speak about concerning this audit.”
