Fairfield, Ala. (WBRC) -Neighbors and community activists held a meeting Tuesday ahead of a town hall on a proposed colocation data center in Fairfield.
The fellowship hall at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church was filled with people from the Belwood neighborhood and surrounding areas. Community groups, including the Fairfield Environmental Justice Alliance, organized the gathering to prepare neighbors with questions about data centers and their potential impacts before the city’s scheduled town hall.
Concerns about health, the environment and utility costs, were all brought up at the meeting.
