Christ Health Center and The Salvation Army Birmingham Area Command officially broke ground Wednesday on a new healthcare facility aimed at expanding access to affordable, high-quality medical care in North Birmingham.
The new Christ Health Center–Salvation Army Slossfield Annex will be located at The Salvation Army’s Slossfield campus on 25th Avenue North. Community leaders, elected officials, project partners, and neighborhood residents gathered for the ceremony, marking the start of a project designed to address longstanding healthcare access challenges in the area.
